Review of Ratter (2015) by Christopher M — 07 Jan 2017
Ratter is a look at our modern technology interconnected world and how it can be used for bad intentions. Taking place entirely through the lens of cell phone and laptop cameras, the movie is about a college girl who is hacked and stalked.
What starts off as what appears to be a common password hack slowly builds into a more stalker scenario. The movie at times creates a nice sense of unease and urge to tap over all your cameras, then at times tries to bring in some story and drama with friends that kind of just exists for what feels like filler and has some points that are never fully explored.
While it may not be the most entertaining and well made movie it is one that those glued to their devices should watch as it gives a semi-believable scenario and even the credits shows how an entire persons life could exist online and if its online its out there for anyone to find.
