Review of Ratchet & Clank (2016) by Peter B — 01 May 2016
It is by no means a masterwork, but it wasn't a disaster of a film. In my opinion it certainly wasn't as bad as many state it to be, but I wouldn't call it perfect. There are very few jokes that can be considered chuckle worthy, but there are some humorous references to other movies (such as Conan and Ferris Bueller's Day Off) including some other Sony games.
Though some of the cast pretty much slips my mind. I can't remember most of the characters names aside from Ratchet, Clank, Quark, Chairman Drex, Victor von Ion, and Nefarious. One gripe I had with the movie is that since it is an adaptation of a franchise known for its large weapon variety chooses to rarely show any of them in action until the very end and just have everyone use the Combuster.
However in the end I do consider it to be one of the better video game based movies, but that isn't saying much. If they do end up making a sequel (as shown in the ending), I would prefer they just focus on the game than making another movie.
