I'm finding it legitimately sad that the movie is getting panned like this. I really am, Rainmaker pulled out all the stops in the animation to make it look like the original games, but better, the Insomniac level style of comedy was absolutely perfect and forth-front.

(That style being able to perfectly weave comedy in the middle of series moments.) And I personally was in it to the the end. It never dropped a beat, while adapting the original game into a movie form with references to the original game perfectly.

Even keeping the old story solid. I don't see why the critics are panning it this hard, especially when the consensus, here and on Twitter, are calling it good to great. For the first time, I feel like the "professional critics" are split from the mere public on a game review.
