"Ratchet and Clank" is an animated movie based on a PlayStation video game of the same name. In the movie, Ratchet is an underdog who aspires to become a Galaxy Ranger to help fight evil. Villains, including the diabolical Captain Nefarious, have developed a weapon that destroys planets and intend to use it to destroy the Galaxy.

Ratchet must help Captain Quark and the Rangers stop Nefarious and his schemes. The plot in this movie is very confusing and underdeveloped, and it leads the characters to be underdeveloped as well. The characters are also not that like able and there is really nothing to latch onto.

Ratchet is an underdog but we never really come to like his character because the whirlwind of action tears it asunder. Captain Quark is likewise a behemoth who is there solely to annoy us. These characters are stock at best.

I could sit through the movie but couldn't say I enjoyed it per se ---------------------------------------------------------------------- C.
