Review of Ratatouille (2007) by Freeman M — 04 Sep 2013
Brad Bird makes another success with Ratatouille. Now it suffers the usual Brad Bird flaw, which is that some stuff doesn't get focused on that much. Here it's the cooks. These guys are interesting yet there isn't enough time for them disappointingly.
But there is a lot of good stuff here. I like it that it's focusing on humans, again, but it also focus on the rats as well. The cast is talented especially Peter O'Toole as a critic. In fact, Anton Ego's thoughts at the end is mesmerizing.
The best part is the movie's atmosphere. It feels like an art gallery come to life, it's so beautiful. Ratatouille is well worth your time.
