Review of Ratatouille (2007) by Alasdair B — 06 Sep 2014
As a Pixar film and as a film in general, "Ratatouille" soars extremely high.
"Anyone can cook!".
A rat named Remy is unsatisfied with his normal rat life. He hates nasty garbage food and wants to cook gourmet dishes. Likewise, Linguine wants to cook, even though he is a garbage boy in Paris. So the two team up to create magnificent dishes.
Sounds weird/stupid? Not at all. This is a high quality film with a surprisingly good story. I first saw the film at a drive in theater. It was a cool experience seeing such a good work of art there. It has fine visuals and great characters. It is very funny and somewhat heartwarming. The film contains a positive message for everyone: follow your dreams, you can do it. It will influence children and adults, and speak to both.
