Director Akira Kurosawa's early film is really quite a treat for the human mind. The movies complexity is hidden quite well within it's simple plot, a who dont it scenario? There are only 2 truth's we are aware of, a woman is raped & her husband was murdered, now comes the fun part, 3 different versions told by 3 different people, all are completely different.
Is there a point? No, because its all about perception, and how certain memories overlap one another and some truths will never be revealed. This film is not for the faint of heart, but if you go in watching it with an open mind you might see what I'm talking about and feel confused after viewing.
