Review of Rashomon (1950) by Jesse B — 02 Aug 2010
My favorite of all Kurosawa's films, Rashomon weaves and intricate tale of what may seem to be plot driven on the outside, but on the inside ask a purely existentialist question-- is there any good in this world? Kurosawa's answers remain optimistic, yet allows serious speculation into a darker train of thought.
