Review of Rashomon (1950) by Natalee K — 16 Nov 2011
While it features beautiful camera work, the intentions of the film (to depict a story from multiple perspectives) are not fully achieved. This feels like an experiment more than a wholly realized film.
While the short story successfully tells this story, the film seems to lose the heart of the piece. Beautiful and important nonetheless.
