Review of Rashomon (1950) by Arun J — 10 Aug 2012
Not because it is legendary, but because of its content and shoestring budget, I love it. I am amazed at how much a director can accomplish with his camera and vision. In a point in the movie we start losing a grip on reality.
We don't know what is true anymore. We have no faith on values. As the priest realizes, we too realize that humanity is about one personal sacrifice and not mass apathy. Feels drama-ish but great.
