Review of Rashomon (1950) by Jonathan B — 22 Nov 2013
Interesting movie that people who really like to think about their films should enjoy, but I would not recommend it for someone who is just looking to be entertained. The acting was good overall but a little over the top at points.
Kirausowa is a master director who did a great job creating a tense mood and an air of mystery around a story whose outcome you already knew. This is a film you will be thinking about for weeks after you watch it.
