Review of Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale (2010) by Brad G — 29 Dec 2010
Thank You Finland. Thank you for delivering one of the best, most bizarre, flat-out brilliant mondo Christmas stories ever put to miraculous celluloid. Rare Exports is the perfect flick for all you beautiful nutters out there who mark Die Hard, Gremlins, Silent Night Deadly Night, Lethal Weapon, and The Proposition as X-Mas Classics.
Three Finish hunters and a small boy take on the beast Santa Claus after an eccentric American business man awakens his ancient slumber. This is not your jolly "Coca-Cola Santa" and the brilliance of the film comes from its absolute seriousness.
An instant cult classic. VF.
