Review of Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale (2010) by James-Masaki R — 09 Jan 2012
Was Santa Claus always a lovable caring man bringing presents for children? According to Finland, where the legend of Santa was born, he was much more sinister. "Rare Exports" is a brilliant little film, taking the legend and giving it a new spin, along with some humor and horror.
Not too exploiting, bloody, or violent, yet somehow falling into an unusual horror category, I've seen the movie 3 times, and gets better and better with each viewing. It'll be a future holiday classic someday.
