Review of Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale (2010) by Max E — 19 Feb 2012
This was nicely shot, well acted, polished and subtle. A joy to watch a Finnish film to begin with, the music was never distracting yet maintained a light seasonal theme, the story was perfectly oiled together and achieved an effective balance of funny and creepy.
I was worried that the ending wouldn't make sense or would be a let down, but the follow-up was genius. Definitely a new Christmas favourite.
