Review of Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale (2010) by Steve W — 07 Apr 2012
This Finnish dark fairy tale is about an excavation team that finds something mysterious under a mountain. It turns out to be Santa Clause, but a nasty and evil version. The film's pacing is very slow, they take time to develop the characters but nothing really happens until the climax.
The music is also very inappropriate, sounding like something that would be in a wondrous science fiction movie. They should have just made it a horror monster movie, as it gets lost in the genres.
