Review of Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale (2010) by Martin P — 22 Oct 2012
A dark Grimm-style fable film with clever touches all the way through to the end.
Scenes shot to emphasise the darkness of the story, that pull you in, whilst the 10 year old lead steals the show, but credit should be given to the Director for the visual impact.
The type of film that puts European film on the map. I could never see finance coming from Hollywood given the tale and hopefully they will never get hold of it.
Don't expect it on The Disney Channel over the festive season ;).
