Review of Range 15 (2016) by Brice C — 14 Jun 2016
If watching a bunch of barrel chested freedom fighters shit kick zombies while saving the world doesn't give you a freedom boner then I don't know what will.
But really, this film has all the makings of a cult classic. Fellow veterans, military, and law enforcement will easily recognize the brand of humor here and immediately fall in love with it. I had the pleasure of watching this on opening night and will be going again. With that said, those that don't 'get' military humor might not be as enthused.
As for the quality of the movie, its almost as if a bunch of vets started their own companies, wrote a script, gathered up a few cameras and started an indiegogo campaign to finance it. At times its crude and doesn't flow like a movie produced in Hollywood might, but in my opinion that only adds to the appeal and feel of the film.
In my book it's a must see for any veteran, especially if you've found yourself missing the comradery of military life.
