Review of Rang De Basanti (2006) by Marisa R — 01 Sep 2009

I love Aamir Khan, and his brave approach to film-making. This is a good Indian movie with actors who dare to make alternative art, send a powerful message and show the world Indian talent. Even though I was not fond of the story as it started (I felt the childish always-hyper characteristic of all main characters was overated) it got so much better as things really unfolded.

For the whole movie, the images are marvelous and the music is outstanding! All actors do a great job, of course the cast is full of consacrated stars, and deliver while convicing. I loved Kunal Kapoor! and I love him doing thought-provoking films, good for him.

the looks and the smarts all together ;) Overall, this is a good film, rare to see people kissing and such delicate subjects being brought to light. It did help that I watched "Bhagat Singh' before :).
