Review of Ran (1985) by Stephan F — 11 Jul 2008
A true piece of filmmaking genius. I have yet to read King Lear, but this makes me want to. Again, the music is impeccable, and the use of no close-up shots makes for a more lyrical feel, like the actors were almost on a stage.
Beautiful in every sense of the word, I was taken in from the first moment in the hunting party.
