Best adaption of Shakespeare you will ever find. This was the film Kurosawa had been wanting to make, a film that sums up all that he saw; chaos. One of the great epic films of our time. Neo-realism. Hardly a samurai-version of King Lear.
This is so much more. Watch it, ponder about it, and ask yourself just what this huge mess of life is all about.
