Review of Ran (1985) by Kevan S — 24 Aug 2008
Truly a masterpiece. Kurosawa reverts to an incredibly simplistic way of shooting a movie, yet that gives the story so much more weight, which is how it should be with Shakespeare. Kurosawa is a master, if all his other films didn't prove that, then Ran certainly sets it in stone.
