An amazing Japanese adaptation of Shakespeare's King Lear brilliantly acted, brilliantly written, beautifully presented, amazing use of color. all the trademarks of a Kurosawa masterpiece. not my favorite Kurosawa, purely because I love Yojimbo and haven't watched all the Kurosawa films I want to watch yet.
