Review of Ran (1985) by Ganesh I — 27 Aug 2010
Basically a 'Kurosawa' adaptation of King Lear, RAN is an epic that leaves you completely awestruck. The brilliantly captured scenes are breathtaking to say the least, & are only overshadowed by some of the best acting performances I have ever seen.
The movie took about 10 years to be made, & every bit of the effort put in is tangible. One of Kurosawa's finest works.
