Review of Ran (1985) by Ty P — 07 Feb 2012
For its time , fabulous with some fot eh best orchestrated battle scenes ever. The mix of shakespeare's King Lear, Noh Drama and modern film make for interesting concotion with some solid acting performances.
I just wish they hadn't dubbed it and left it in Japanese with subtitles. I can't help but think Monkey Magic, when I see Asian films that are dubbed. Slow to start, Ran eventually picks up and finishes with a bang.
