Review of Ran (1985) by Mike G — 30 Mar 2010
One of Kurosawa's crowning achievements. It's epic scope and masterful retelling of King Lear make it a film with no equals that I know of. The subtitles are not too big of a problem, but I think it's best to read through it once and go back and watch it again without the distraction to get the full effect.
