An epic masterpiece if there ever was one. I cannot find fault with a single aspect of this film. Like Shakespeare's tragedy, Kurosawa's tale is so beautifully dreary in tone, complemented perfectly by the picturesque imagery.
If I could, I would frame every shot on a bare, boundless wall.
