A great trajedy and a perfect take on Shakespeare's King Lear...It offers the audience one of the most depressing, brutal and deep experiences possible with its bleak and tragic look on life and the betrayal of a king's sons as well as the chaos of life.
..arguably one of the greatest drama films and is one of my favorite Japanese films of all times...
