Review of Ran (1985) by Jihan B — 25 Jul 2009
This was supposed to be a step up from kagemusha, but I thought this was a little too philosophical and slow for its own good. all of the intriguing and fascinating scenes got wrapped up in the weirdness of the main character and it sort of ended in a half-cliffhanger.
not kurosawas best, although by any standard, this film is a great accomplishment of foreign film.
