Review of Rams (2015) by Steve P — 09 Apr 2016
A very gentle, moving story that has a touch of natural quirkiness. The acting is excellent with good character development. The soundtrack is very soft organ and squeezebox music that perfectly fits the Iceland landscapes.
The cinematography is beautiful and the pacing of the story is perfect. A touch more humour would have been good. RAMS is set in a very isolated part of the world and, while set in a small farming village, its themes are most definitely universal.
A stunningly surprising ending makes this haunting viewing.
