Review of Rampage (2018) by The3Academysins — 20 Apr 2018
Rampage is a dumb, fun, big budgeted Hollywood action movie. That's really all there is to say! There are a lot of surprisingly enjoyable scenes, The Rock is a little all over the place, but when he finds his niche, he really does perform well.
Naomi Harris and Jeffrey Dean Morgan do well in supporting roles. The CGI is actually quite nice, and the destruction of Chicago in the film's climax is a lot of fun to watch. The biggest flaw in this movie is it's script.
A lot of lines and plot devices are eye-rollingly bad, if not outright problematic. Overall, there are worse options out there than Rampage.
