Though hardly intelligent in its approach or particularly good filmmaking, Rampage marks a considerable step up for shlock maestro Uwe Boll; he has crafted an action-packed and well-acted film that is also surprisingly well written (for his standards) and benefits from Boll's use of handheld camerawork.
