Review of Rampage (2009) by Carl N — 24 Mar 2011
I was at first put off watching this by the fact that Uwe Boll had written and directed it. Having endured some of his past appalling efforts, but the synopsis of a man building a Kevlar armoured body suit and going on a killing spree was just too good to not watch.
(Does that make me sick?) I have to be honest but I have no idea what happen to the normally dreadful Uwe Boll. But this film is a real gem. Regardless of the simple set up the Boll has managed to add real depth to the proceedings.
It had me gripped from the first minute to the last. Although very violent, the violence is never over the top or comic. Brendan Fletcher in the lead role puts on a spectacular performance. I can't really say too much else without spoiling the movie.
If you think you know what to expect from this movie like I thought I did. I guarantee you will be surprised.
