Review of Rampage (2009) by Joel G — 28 Aug 2011
Brutal and raw, this film takes no shortcuts in showing the graphic methods Bill Williamson uses to cleanse the world of 'takers'. His argument for what he does is simple; we are at capacity. Mankind is consuming more resources than they are producing, and it is with this fact that Bill justifies his actions.
So, with twin Uzis, a combat knife, and full body armor, he offers his unique brand of cleansing to preserve the way of life for others. Uwe Boll is at his finest with this masterpiece, and is somehow able to portray Bill Williamsons actions in an almost sympathetic light.
We are rooting for him to continue his unbiased actions, and to get revenge on a society that is barely human anymore. There is a punishment for every crime, but the real question lies with who is actually guilty.
The parasitic society who has taken life and the planets resources for granted, or the one willing to try and change that?
