Review of Ramona and Beezus (2010) by Chaz M — 04 Aug 2010

My six year old son loved this movie! He laughed hard at all the funny lines. and, for me, it was refreshing to go to a kid movie that reminded me of the type of movies I grew up watching. I wish the movie marketed itself better to boys because they would definitely enjoy it. Beverly Cleary has an uncanny way of correctly seeing childhood...it is obvious from all her children's books I grew up reading. and, to see my son laugh...there is something timeless about Ramona.

Please bring this type of movie back to the theaters. don't let this be the only one. I am really tired of all the cartoon series that have made it to the theaters and I am tiring of all the kid fantasy movies as well.
