Review of Ramona and Beezus (2010) by Shannon F — 10 Aug 2010

I laughed and cried, both alternately and simultaneously. Rarely are movies made that capture the joy and pain of family life - this movie succeeds on that count and is highly entertaining to boot. I read all the books as a girl, and the movie did a great job of combining many of my favorite scenes.

If anything, the fabulous comic timing of the lead actress made it even funnier. I was still laughing too hard to talk when I ineffectively tried to describe the movie hours later.
