A solid action flick "Rambo III" keeps the high body count from "Rambo: First Blood Part II" but ditches the Vietnam politics, instead choosing Afghanistan as its target. While the previous Rambo films dealt with the political undercurrent extremely well, "Rambo III" is a bit heavy handed and at times it feels clunky and forced.

The most enjoyment comes from when the political agenda is ditched in favour of seeing Rambo kick more and more ass in more and more elaborate ways. The body count is extreme and at times it does seem a tad unnecessary, but then again, this is Rambo.

Stallone does a sterling job once again (looking absolutely ridiculously good) and Crenna is solid as always, this time with a little more action to do. Overall then "Rambo III" doesn't quite have the social awareness that made the first two installments more than action films, however it does have Rambo on a horse riding around Afghanistan shooting helicopters down, which can't be all that bad.
