Review of Rambo III (1988) by Justin O — 26 Oct 2012

This film poetically heralded the death cry of the inflated 80's action film. A full circle, if you will, from the first film,that generated many copy cat films and truly made Stallone a house hold name, to the final (up unitil RAMBO 2009) chapter of the series that falls flat in character, thrills and most importantly of all,pathos.

Still, a fun film to watch for Rambo fans,but over glorified in its approach and dull compared to First Blood. which is one of the finest anti-war films made.

Rambo 2009 truly makes up for the 2 sequels to 'First Blood' and gives a sad,but legendary return to the scarred anti hero John Rambo.
