(1985) Rambo: First Blood Part II.
ACTION/ WAR.
After the success of "First Blood", Stallone had the power to hand pick the director for this second installment of the series. The one, who is kind of a nobody, who seems to be a director only by name only, Stallone was the real director for this film which is the reason why this film is moderately okay! I liked this film but not better than the first one because of the bright lights and a bigger budget (which shows by the way) except that it doesn't really offer anything new anyone hasn't seen already in terms of action sequences! Basic plot has John Rambo sent back to Vietnam to return veterans that're still held up on a concentration camp only that it's not what it appears to be! Far fetch plot but it is only an excuse to showcase Stallone's flexing his naked chest with popping veins getting ready to burst- it's not like all war veterans that do come home look like this! This film could've been better had Stallone hadn't got too much control!
3 out of 4 in terms of action sequences.
