If the first movie established the mood of the character then part two takes up the mantel of really exploring the inner workings of a hero, everything we know about and love about John Rambo properly began here.
.. solidifying the character as on of the greatest action hero movie characters of all time... Though part two has the action, the thrills, the guts and gore it also retains some emotion (well a tiny, tiny bit) from part one which makes Rambo feel less like a crazed action man than a fucking cool crazed action man with some depth.
