Rambo First Blood Part II is a less brains more boom sequel from the exciting First Blood. John Rambo returns this time to go on a covert operation to Vietnam. He is to go into a POW camp and take photos.

Under no circumstance is he allowed to engage the enemy. Well, that is fine and dandy, but a huge mistake has already been made and that was sending Rambo. Rambo engages the NVA and the Spetsnaz in climatic cat-and-mouse game followed by a series deaths and big booms.

Rambo is by no mean intelligent, so that is why he has his M60. I wanted to love Rambo- First Blood Part II, but the film was not gripping. This might have been because of the bad acting in the film. Sylvester Stallone is believable as lunkhead, but his partner is silly (Julia Nickson).

She goes throughout the entire film speaking difficulty in English which as matter of fact can speak and understand English pretty well. The same goes with Stallone, but I had a feeling on that one. All Stallone does is have a one dimensional face, voice, and posture while emphasizing in display of muscles and killing people.

The film is then bogged down by the very cheesy and unnecessary ending that Rambo yelling about something. I cannot really understand what and why! I think he was screaming about chicken salad and eggs and wine.

Anyways, Rambo- First Blood may have a patriotic theme to it and be huge on explosions and dead commies, but film misses a few important marks. No doubt a testosterone teen boy will love this film. Time to go from Vietnam to Afghanistan!
