Review of Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) by Griffin B — 10 Jul 2013
Stallone's transformation into a robotic action star seems to begin here in a bombastic and wild sequel to one of his breakout films. The key female actor is awful, but fortunately she's not in enough of the movie to totally ruin it.
The majority of it is all Rambo, guns a blazing and without mercy. This is finally realized in the last 20 minutes where things really heat up and the movie finally figures out what works. First Blood part 2 isn't nearly as subtle or intelligent as part 1, but watching Stallone run around destroying Vietnam is too enjoyable to miss.
