Review of Rambling Rose (1991) by Matt K — 19 Mar 2009
This film was very awkward, but that was the point. Rose and Buddy had a very awkward relationship. Even the filming style was awkward, with too tight of close-ups and bizarre staging. I want to think that it was on purpose, but regardless if it was or wasn't, it worked completely awesomely.
The bookends were a little cheesy, but I love John Heard (the dad in Home Alone!) that I barely cared.
