Review of Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018) by Morgan D — 18 Dec 2018
I enjoyed it with some degree of hesitation. I honestly didn't expect it to be so politically and socially undertone laden. While I enjoyed the animated interpretation of the internet, as a literal place and destination.
Also the animation is absolutely mesmerizing, To be frank, I'm just tired of Hollywood shoving down a now socially accepted narrative that all men are evil or bumbling idiots. At some point we'll look back at this decade of movies and wonder how hypocritical it all was.
To treat men the very way they say women were\are portrayed in entertainment. I would argue in a more demeaning manner. This was the last movie I've seem in some time only because, all movies are now social sounding boards.
BAM, guess what? Now a kids cartoon is trying to slide a political and social narrative at me.
