Review of Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018) by Abraham E — 25 Nov 2018
This sequel sort of rejects the main purpose of the first movie because of ( SPOILER ALERT ) ...... Vanelope basically decides to go turbo and leave her family and game behind as soon as Ralph gets the steering wheel for Sugar Rush.
Vanelope now lives in Slaughter Race even though Sugar Rush is back up and running fine like before. The ending of this movie which I cannot lie, left me dripping with tears. So Ralph is saying goodbye to Vanelope and telling her good luck out there and so they are both talking for a moment and then Vanelope goes back to Slaughter Race.
Ralph is back at Game Central Station accept he's sitting all alone on the bench where him and Vanelope would usually sit everyday. Ralph is then thinking about Vanelope with a frown on his face looking very sad knowing he's going to be all alone again.
Vanelope then calls Ralph with one of the little phone holograms that the character Yesss gave to them both. As Ralph answered the call a hologram of Vanelope appears as they both start talking for a bit, and then fist bump eachother like BFF's knowing Ralph won't be seeing Vanelope for a while and accepting on being all alone again.
Vanelope ends the call after saying goodbye to ralph. Ralph sits there for a moment and just thinks about everything he's gone and done throughout the entire film knowing if that if Vanelope is happy with her dream of staying at Slaughter Race, then he should also probably go and follow his dreams and keep moving forward.
As Ralph stares for a bit Felix comes through to ask Ralph how he's holding up so far. Ralph felt a bit empty, but as if he also accepted being alone again and accomplished letting go of the kid he loves, and to let Vanelope do her thing and be free from her game because that's what she really wants.
After Felix was talking with Ralph for a bit Ralph quickly gets up and says "Come on Felix, we have to work to do!" As we see them both scurrying back to the game Fix it Felix Jr.
