Review of Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018) by Jennifer C — 25 Nov 2018

I was surprised by how high the ratings were for this movie. The whole thing was a laundry list of internet in-jokes, which were recognizable but not necessarily funny. The plot was thin and missing the heart of the first one, schlocky instead of sentimental.

The me-too girl power preaching was boring and uninspired, obligatory I suppose. I really wanted more out of this than animated wizardry of a focus group, but at least the kids liked it.
