Ralph Breaks the Internet is a satisfying yet cheesy return to a lovable universe and set of characters. The storyline was great, presenting a cheerful storyline that uses very formulaic and cheesy elements to its advantage; in other words, it was a very predictable film that did not leave one feeling disappointed by what was to come. The acting was excellent, presenting a lovable set of characters that presented all of the needed emotions. The overall animation was beautiful, showing great lighting, colors, and a lot of attention to the details. The general references were well thought out, poking at both the internet and the previous film with eye opening moments of the flaws of the web and heart warming nods to the original classic. The only real flaws that this film suffered from were the characters and one time plot hole. Throughout the first half of it, the main characters were a bit two dimensional. They lacked in complexity and character development, feeling as if they took a step back from what they could have been and what they were in the original. However, this improved as it progressed into its latter half, so its more or less forgivable but not forgettable. creation, however this film states that it takes place only 27 years afterwards. The detail was small, but it was an overlooked detail nonetheless. Overall, this is a very warm hearted film that uses previous formulas and fun to make it as cute as it is. I highly recommend this to anyone who is into the universe of Wreck-it Ralph, Disney animation, or who is in the mood for a very cheesy but lovable film.
