Review of Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018) by Kenneth J — 24 Nov 2018
Well, this was quite a downer.
The hell was with that ending?! Why is it portrayed as a positive thing that Ralph is all alone again and fills his days with going to book clubs to discuss books he didn't even read, and hosting dinners he is incapable of hosting, only to stave off the loneliness? You know what would help? If you could show him develop at least some form of a meaningful relationship with Yessss, Felix, Spam guy or really just anyone, so that the lesson about "evolving relationships" wouldn't be so one-sided and depressing. Hell, I'm not one for forced love interests but here is a movie that fould really use one.
Many if the Jokes do land though. So there's that, I guess.
