Review of Raising Victor Vargas (2003) by Mister C — 29 Nov 2004
There is not much of a plot to this movie.. it tells the story of victor, a self-proclaimed teenage cassanova who lives in a small apartment with his family.. his family consists of an overweight younger sister, painfully shy younger brother and very stern and hard-lined grandmother- who takes care of all the children.
victor falls for judy, the neighborhood princess, who all the guys love because of her striking looks...judy is initiallly cold towards victor and he spends the entire movie trying to get her to open up to him.
.. the movie takes about a two month window (i think) in the lives of all these characters, but it is an important time because there are many interesting developments in all their lives.. very enjoyable storyline, witty and realistic dialogue and interesting characters.
