Review of Raising Victor Vargas (2003) by Jonathan L — 07 Jun 2007
It's not everyday that you come across a film that is a gem. A small budget and personal story about people and it's not always negative or portraits them in a negative persona. Raising Victor Vargas is a beautiful film and one that I am glad to have on dvd.
I found out this film during the Philadelphia Film Festival in 2003 and I regret not being able to see it. I fell in love with the film the moment I saw the trailer for it. Without spoiling anything it was a film that you honestly care for the two characters Victor and Judy as well as the other characters that surround them.
I don't want to compare to anything because in all honestly this film is unique in the way that it portrays to young individuals and how they interact with one another. Wonderful film.
