Not a *bad* movie, but by no means great. "Pastor Dan" (Corbett) was more of a prop than a character--I've known a few Lutheran ministers, and all of them seemed more interested in their work than he was.
The younger children were believable and cute without being gaggy, but Panettiere's teenage character is horribly stereotyped (though she works pretty well with what she's been given). Joan Cusack's "bury you so deep the heat from the earth's core will melt your sorry ass" scene is wonderful.
